Privacy Policy

Effective: [DATE]

This Privacy Policy explains how Fireclay Ventures LLC (“Fireclay Ventures,” “we,” “our”) handles information in connection with the website at fireclayventures.com (the “Site”). It does not cover data handled outside the Site — see the section on SPV and investor materials below.

Summary

The Site is informational. The information we collect through it is limited to what you submit when you contact us through the form on the Site, plus the standard request data the host records to operate the Site. We do not run third-party advertising, behavioral tracking, or analytics pixels on the Site. Information related to investment in our SPVs is collected separately, through subscription documents and the fund administrator, and is not governed by this policy.

Information you submit through the contact form

The Site uses a contact form to receive inquiries. The form is built with the Fluent Forms plugin for WordPress. When you submit the form, we receive your name, email address, company name, industry or vertical, the stage your company is at, and the contents of your message. Submissions are stored in our WordPress database and delivered to our inbox so that we can respond.

We use the information you submit only to reply to your inquiry, evaluate whether the work in front of you is a fit for the firm, and follow up about that conversation. We do not sell the information you submit, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server log data when your browser requests pages from the Site. That data typically includes your IP address, browser user-agent string, the time of the request, the URL requested, and the referring URL. Server logs are used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.

The Site does not run first-party web analytics, advertising tags, or behavioral tracking pixels. Cookies are limited to those WordPress and the contact-form plugin set in the course of normal site operation — for example, session and cross-site request forgery (CSRF) cookies that allow forms to submit safely. Most modern browsers let you view, restrict, or delete cookies through their settings.

Third-party services the Site uses

A small number of third-party services are involved in operating the Site, and your interaction with the Site causes data to flow to them. Each operates under its own privacy practices.

  • Hosting. The Site is hosted on GoDaddy Managed WordPress. The host processes Site traffic, stores form submissions, and retains the server logs described above.
  • Front-end assets. The Site loads Bootstrap CSS and JavaScript from the jsDelivr content delivery network. When your browser fetches those files, jsDelivr receives your IP address and user-agent string for the request.
  • Spam protection on the contact form. The contact form is protected by hCaptcha. When the form loads, your browser communicates with hCaptcha’s servers to display and verify the challenge, which involves sharing your IP address and limited information about your interaction with the page. hCaptcha is operated by Intuition Machines, Inc. and handles that data under its own privacy practices.
  • Email delivery for form notifications. Notifications generated by the contact form are sent through the WP Mail SMTP plugin via Microsoft 365 (Outlook). Microsoft processes the contents of those notification emails as the email service operator, under its own privacy practices.

The Site links to external websites, including LinkedIn. When you follow an external link, you leave the Site, and the privacy practices of the destination apply to your activity there. We do not control the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.

SPV and investor materials

The Site is informational and is not the channel through which any securities are offered, sold, or subscribed for. Any information collected in connection with investment in a Fireclay Ventures SPV — including accredited-investor verification, subscription paperwork, and ongoing investor reporting — is collected separately, through Reg D 506(b) subscription documents and the fund administrator engaged for that vehicle, and is governed by those documents rather than by this policy.

Children’s privacy

The Site is directed to professional and accredited audiences and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the Site, contact us using the address below and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you from the Site, correct it, or delete it, by contacting us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. Reach out and we will work with you in good faith to handle your request consistent with those laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here rather than communicated individually.
